Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray declares for the 2019 NFL draft

The University of Oklahoma quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy victor declared for the National Football League draft on Monday, hours before the final deadline to do so.

After putting together one of the best seasons in recent college football history, Heisman Trophy victor and former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has declared for the NFL draft. His performance with the Sooners in 2018 raised his NFL stock, and by entering the draft, it's clear he's still exploring the option of playing football professionally.

The A's reportedly met with Murray on Sunday to discuss the National Football League draft and his contract with Oakland.

Retail inflation slows to 18-month low of 2.19% in December
The Wholesale Price Index (WPI)-based inflation stood at 4.64 per cent in November 2018, and 3.58 per cent in December 2017. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mainly takes into account retail inflation data while formulating monetary policy.

Murray has 72 hours to reconsider his decision and withdraw his name from NFL Draft consideration, according to ESPN. Murray, who was drafted by Oakland in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft, was weighing the decision about whether to play football or baseball. Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports the team and MLB marketing personnel discussed "something creative" with Murray regarding his potential contract and general moneymaking ability if he were to choose baseball. A lot can happen between today and Day 1 of the draft on April 25, but Murray's production at Oklahoma will help limit concerns about his size.

Murray figures to need to decide in the next month, as position players report for A's spring training February 15 in Mesa, Arizona. He's listed at only 5-foot-10 by Oklahoma, and since the AFL-NFL merger of 1970, there have been 107 quarterbacks drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft. He agreed to a signing bonus worth more than $4.6 million.
