Portion of Pacific Coast Highway remains closed after mudslide

U.S. hip hop artist Soulja Boy had a lucky escape from a "very bad" auto crash following flash floods and mudslides in California.

While retweeting a photo of cars stuck in sludge, the musician added: "My auto got stuck too nearly went into the ocean".

The said mudslide was a result of a flash flood caused by the heavy rain in California's Malibu area.

"Was involved in a very bad vehicle accident last night due to a flash flood and mud slide" Soulja added. "Thank God for another day, with new opportunities & blessings", he tweeted.

According to KTLA, the area hit by the rain was the same area that was recently devastated by the Woolsey Fire.

The California Department of Transportation District 7 said on Twitter that the Pacific Coast Highway will remain closed until Monday due to mudslides and flooding between Las Posas Road in Ventura County to Encinal Canyon Road in Malibu.

As of Sunday, the "Crank That" star noted his auto is still stuck in the water, but isn't as anxious about the vehicle.

Since he lives in the affected area, Soulja Boy actually needed to also evacuate his home previously.

"Praying for you baby", wrote one concerned fan, while another added: "Hope your okay bro head up 2019 is your year". "I just evacuated my house", he tweeted.
