Nurse in Rajasthan's Ramgarh decapitates newborn during delivery, leaving head inside womb; police yet to...

The two nurses have been suspended and an investigation is underway.

She was then transferred to Ummed Hospital in nearby Jodhpur, where doctors thinking they were recovering the placenta, were shocked to discover the foetus' dismembered head.

If that incident, which happened on January 6, wasn't horrific enough, the nurse and a colleague deposited the lower part of the foetus in the hospital's mortuary and asked the family to take the woman to Jaisalmer.

ANI quoted Dr Sankhla from Jaisalmer's Jawahar Hospital as saying that: "The reports from the Ramgarh health centre stated that delivery had been done".

A nurse at a government hospital in India is said to have "decapitated a baby while pulling too hard during a difficult birth".

Columbus Blue Jackets sit goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky due to 'internal matter'
Although no one called the move a suspension, I don't know how else one would categorize Bob not being with the team for a game. Korpisalo has appeared in 15 games this season, posting a 6-2-2 record with a 3.29 GAA and an.889 save percentage.

The man in charge of the heath centre in Ramgargh, Dr Nikhil Sharma, said he wasn't present at the time of the incident. Despite being a high-risk case, the two nurses on duty-Amritram and Jhunjhar Ram-tried to deliver the chid of seven-month pregnant Deeksha without the presence of a doctor.

The woman was taken to the Umaid hospital in Jodhpur. He led the police to the spot where he had hidden the torso.

The doctors then informed the victim's family members about the whole incident.

What is more shocking is that the woman named Diksha Kumar visited a different hospital only to find out about the fiasco as the staff at the previous hospital didn't inform her about the debacle. The family reached Ramgarh police station on Wednesday and lodged a case against the two nurses. Since the gynaecologist was on leave, the nursing staff handled the case. "I will prepare a complete report on the incident and hand it over to health directorate", he said.
