The Fashion Place mall is a highly visited shopping center in the heart of the Salt Lake City metro area that includes stores such as Crate and Barrel, Macy's and Nordstrom.

"We are very saddened by the incident that happened outside our shopping center this afternoon".

"At this time we are directing all inquiries to the Murray Police Department. The shopping center is now closed".

According to KUTV, three suspects were described as Hispanic males. They were wearing dark trousers with light-colored hoodies or sweatshirts, he added.

The wounded man was rushed by ground ambulance to the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, but passed away from his injuries a short while later. The man was in critical condition, and the woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition, was treated, then released from the hospital.

Bass said that it was not known whether the shooting was a targeted attack but there did not appear to be a larger threat to the public.

Catrina Ramos said she was with her four children in Claire's getting her daughter's ears pierced when she heard a "pop" sound. He said the shooting may be gang related.

"At this point, there are officers still looking for them", Bass told KSL.

European Union preparing to delay Brexit until at least July
British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Sunday that a failure to support her Brexit deal will be catastrophic for Britain. Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt also said that Brexit may not happen if the deal can't pass the Parliament.

She said she learned there was a shooting from a message on the intercom.

The shooting occurred outside the mall near the entrance on the east side, Bass said.

Video posted to social media shows people inside the indoor mall running after multiple gunshots were fired. She said 10 to 12 employees and around 20 customers hid in the store's upstairs stockroom.

"There was a sense of panic", she said.

Salt Lake police were called to the scene of a shooting around 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of 400 N. Starcrest Drive.

"We saw cops come in from everywhere", Loren Okuly, who was in the parking lot at the time of the shooting, told KSL.

No other details about the incident were immediately available. He also mentioned having seen police running towards Red Rock Brewing Company holding assault rifles.
