2019 is a new year and Apple has started off by doing something it never has done. They will also be able to purchase or rent additional content. Apple now has hundreds of thousands of movies and TV show episodes and also the largest library of 4K HDR movies of any service.

In a first among TV manufacturers, Samsung has announced that its 2019 TVs will ship with an iTunes Movies and TV Shows app in over 100 countries as well as AirPlay 2 support in 190 countries.

"We pride ourselves on working with top industry leaders to deliver the widest range of content services to our Smart TV platform", said Won-Jin Lee, Executive Vice President, Service Business of Visual Display at Samsung Electronics. "Bringing more content, value and open platform functionality to Samsung TV owners and Apple customers through iTunes and AirPlay is ideal for everyone". AirPlay 2 will allow users to stream content from their iPhone or iPad to their TV to enjoy things like playing videos, or even music, podcasts, etc.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Hurns was "probably in surgery at this time" after the game Saturday night. If the Chicago Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Dallas will face the New Orleans saints next week.

Naturally, iTunes access on Samsung TVs will be made available via an app and will also enable users to access their current library of iTunes content. Samsung notes that the app will be available to users across 100 different countries. By making existing and future content available directly within Samsung's Smart TV system and providing a means for iOS device and Mac owners to easily play content on Samsung TVs, Apple greatly expands the potential viewership for the content it offers. This may become especially important as Apple is looking to launch its own video service this year.

"The iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will go live sometime "beginning this spring" in 'more than 100 countries".
