After the critically acclaimed Alien: Isolation, it seems that the powers that be have made the incredibly wise and sure-to-be-beloved decision of continuing the Alien gaming world on mobile devices with Alien: Blackout.

The tweets from Alien Anthology teasing the new game also use the hashtags #AmandaRipley and #ReadPlayWatch, which suggests there's more to do with Amanda's story than just play it.

New York's iconic Chrysler Building put up for sale
The land beneath the 77-floor building is owned by the Cooper Union school - and costs a pretty penny to lease. The announcement comes at a hard time for the NY real estate market, especially in Manhattan.

This confirmation actually came from within the press release for Alien: Blackout.

Blackout sticks Ripley Jr. and her crew on a Weyland-Yutani space station where-shocker-there's a xenomorph hanging around. Isolation, you'll need to "outsmart the flawless hunter by making perilous choices", shepherding the surviving crew to safety. Players will need to survive increasingly challenging, fear-inducing levels by balancing the controls of the space station's emergency systems to skillfully guide their crew to safety and avoid encounters with the enemy.

If you'd rather play a horror game set with with universe of Alien, Creative Assembly and SEGA's Alien: Isolation is still available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and can be picked up on Amazon.

Before Christmas, it was revealed that 20th Century Fox had applied for a new trademark for an unannounced video game called Alien: Blackout. It's an unpredictable thriller in the vein of Alien: Isolation since you never know when you're going to be dealing with the alien itself. "The uncertainty and unpredictability of both the alien and her crew can impose total defeat for Amanda and the entire station". More good news: Amanda Ripley is back. So here's hoping Alien: Blackout's developers will deliver a quality Alien game on Android.
