Barcelona vs Sevilla's Copa del Rey quarter final match ended in a 6-1 victory in favour of defending champions as Barca book their place into the semi finals with a 4-3 aggregate.

"The team want to fight for the three competitions, as it is always Barcelona's obligation every year".

Sevilla, 2-0 winners in the first leg, went behind through Philippe Coutinho's penalty, before Ever Banega had a spot-kick saved by Barca's Jasper Cillessen.

And it did not take long for La Blaugrana to make their intentions known as Lionel Messi was fouled in the box and he handed the penalty kick to teammate Phillipe Coutinho.

Ivan Rakitic then turned in a perfectly-weighted long pass by Arthur for Barcelona's second goal in the 31st.

FBI ends investigation into Las Vegas massacre - no motive found
The FBI has concluded its investigation into the October 1, 2017, massacre without finding a clear motive for Paddock's actions. His closest associate, his girlfriend, was visiting family in the Philippines and did not know of his plans.

Coutinho scored his second, and Barca's third, in the second half, with Sergi Roberto scoring a fourth.

Guilherme Arana pulled a goal back for Sevilla with a powerful drive after the otherwise impressive Cillessen gave the ball away, but Pablo Machin's side were finally sunk when Suarez struck on the break and Messi added a late sixth. "So he took it and I am happy because the comeback started there". His erratic play this season had led Valverde to drop him from his group of unquestionable first-choice players, but he has scored in Barcelona's last two Copa del Rey ties to keep it on course to another title.

Earlier Real Betis, whose Benito Villamarin stadium will host the final in May, beat Espanyol 3-1 at home after extra-time to progress 4-1 on aggregate.

Espanyol was leading thanks to Leo Bapistao's headed goal until Giovani Lo Celso levelled in the 76th.
