Warriors superstar canopt out of his contract and enter free agency at the end of the season

Kevin Durant's impending free agency has been the focus of speculation (and drama) throughout this National Basketball Association season.

Klay Thompson would make a good fisherman because his catch-and-release game his very, very strong. To put that in perspective, all of the Knicks starters combined for 43 points.

Even more amazingly, he only needed four dribbles, total, to do it.

Thompson has shot 40 percent or better in each of his seven prior seasons in the league, but he's now only working his percentages this time around, up to 35.6 percent this season after hitting at a career-high 44 percent clip in 2017-18.

Manchester United target Kalidou Koulibaly open to Old Trafford move
The Senegalese central defender emerged on Man United's radar over the summer following a superb 2017/18 campaign with the Serie A side.

Crunching the numbers, Thompson scored 10.75 points for each dribble he took.

At that point, Durant stopped himself and said, "Let me just get out of here".

With last night's blowout victory in the books, the Warriors have improved to 27-14 on the season which is just one-game back of the Denver Nuggets for first place in the Western Conference.

The Knicks, meanwhile, are now sitting at 10-31 as they remain amongst the bottom three teams in the National Basketball Association. Up next is another home game against the lowly Chicago Bulls on Friday night.
