"It's always a bit disappointing when so much effort goes into something that ends up in the cutting room floor, but I get it and it's always what is best for the final product".

"It so easily becomes amusing", she explained. "We actually shot that and spent a lot of energy on, but every time I saw it, I was like this is not going to be tense", she told Bloody Disgusting.

As Bergholtz explains, the creation was meant to play into Sandra Bullock's character's greatest fears, centred of course around the baby she was carrying when the disaster struck. It's amusing, I read an interview recently where Bullock described the creature as a "snake-like, green man with a horrific baby face". At first, Sandy was like, "I don't want to see it" because she thought it was scary.

After all the work, even Bergholtz agrees that the monster was better not shown. "There was a time when one of the producers was like, "No, you have to see something at some point" and forced me to write essentially a nightmare sequence where Malorie experiences one in that house", he said. According to a report from Variety, Nielsen ratings measure Bird Box to have pulled in roughly 26 million unique viewers in the US alone between December 21st and December 27th. But whether you think the movie was derivative of previous sense-quashing thrillers like A Quiet Placeor not (note: the book came out long before that movie), Bird Box was still quite effective at drawing an audience.

The process now takes approximately 12 seconds and the top can be opened or closed at speeds up to 31 miles per hour (50 km/h). The 2020 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is due later this summer with a base price of $127,350, while the 4S will start at $134,650.

The film has set records for the streaming service, with 45 million accounts watching the film in the first seven days since its release.

If you've yet to see the thrilling Netflix phenomenon Bird Box, you should know that major spoilers are ahead and that you have severely mismanaged the last few weeks of your life.

Bird Box is out now on Netflix, and stars Sandra Bullock and Moonlight's Trevante Rhodes alongside an ensemble cast including John Malkovich, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and Aussies Jackie Weaver and Danielle Macdonald. Netflix now has 137 million subscribers around the world. Unfortunately Nielsen only looks at USA data for Netflix, so we can't fully confirm Netflix's claim, but it doesn't seem unreasonable given the USA numbers.

The Nielsen data also revealed Bird Box had 3.5 million viewers on its premiere date (December 21), below the 5.4 million viewers who watched Bright on opening day.
