The rumoured relationship between the two actors in the late-seventies kept gossip columns busy back in the day. He apparently said in the interview that Silsila was symbolic of what was supposedly happening in Amitabh, his wife Jaya Bachchan and Rekha's lives back then.

Bollywood's timeless beauty and actress Rekha was also at the event.

On Simi Garewal's chat show too, Rekha, when asked if she loved Amitabh, had said, "Aap duniya bhar ka love ikathha kar lijiye".

As soon as she turned her head to notice that it was Amitabh in the picture behind her, Rekha hilariously reacted like she has suffered a jolt and hilariously walked away to the side.

. But in seconds, she glanced at the photographs mounted on the wall behind her and found to her shock Amitabh's image among them.
