At least eight people were killed after a massive fire erupted at a slum area in Chittagong city in Bangladesh, the Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday.

According to the officials, the fire, which destroyed over 200 shanties, started at Bhera Market slum around 3:32 AM (local time).

"While trying to control the fire, we formed a search team and the team found four dead bodies belonging to the same family", Uddin said.
