At Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, our FOX 8 Friday Night Touchdown Player of the Year, C.J. Charleston, signed his letter of intent to play football at Youngstown State University.

At Euclid High School, 17 members of the senior class signed their letters of intent, including 14 members of the Panthers' playoff football team.

A National Letter of Intent is a document that when signed by a student-athlete indicates their commitment to one year at their university of choice.

Another big victor was Dan Mullen, who flipped a few top recruits from other SEC powers - including Alabama and Georgia on Wednesday.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Explains Why he Won't be Doing a PSA For Nevada
There were fighters who didn't fight for two years and didn't have their belts taken for a year and a half. While incredibly noble, Nurmagomedov's decision puts a bit of a hold on the entire lightweight division.

It also means that no other university can pursue or continue to recruit a student-athlete once the NLI is signed.

Young had been committed to Alabama since July 4, but wavered on that decision leading up to National Signing Day. So, some of the big names had already signed their national letter of intent previously.

With much of the drama falling earlier in the recruiting season, there were only a few surprises and flips throughout the day. After having just four players sign during the early period, Louisville got the total number in its class up to 15, but that was only good enough to finish No. 85 nationally, behind the likes of UTSA, Army and Navy.
