Speaking on Thursday, Keys hinted that the ceremony "will be about the celebration and the power of music".

"We're all very excited, and the energy you're going to feel is far different than anything you've ever felt", Keys said.

"I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I'm going to bring that vibe and energy", she said when the news was announced.

Keys has won 15 Grammys throughout her career and is hosting the show for the first time.

Among the group are current Grammy nominees Kelsea Ballerini, who's up for best country album, as well as best new artist nominee Luke Combs and Leon Bridges, nominated for two awards, including best R&B album.

Keys joined Corden on The Late Late Show on Wednesday night (February 6), treating viewers to a hilarious parody of A Star Is Born's "Shallow", complete with rewritten lyrics about the 2019 Grammys.

Keys, who along with husband Swizz Beatz was honored last year on her birthday by the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers wing for their overall contributions to music, will be the first woman in 14 years to host the show. "Maybe you could give me some advice", she sweetly replies.

. However, rapper Kendrick Lamar, with eight nominations, still goes into the night as the artist with the most nods. Brandi Carlile is up for six awards, while Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Maren Morris and H.E.R. each have five nominations.

Grammy winners Yolanda Adams, Fantasia and past Grammy nominee Andra Day will honor the legendary Aretha Franklin.

Other performers on the broadcast will include Gaga, Morris, Musgraves, Mendes, Carlile, Cardi B, Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Katy Perry, Mark Ronson, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Post Malone, Janelle Monáe, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chloe x Halle, Travis Scott and Diana Ross.
