Something is stirring in the world of Anthem, and it's venturing beyond the realm of gaming.

Keen to prove their world has real sci-fi chops EA and Bioware have enlisted Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9, Elysium and Chappie, to create a live action prequel for the game called Conviction.

Electronic Arts is going big with its ANTHEM promotions.

Thunder PG Russell Westbrook takes solo National Basketball Association record for consecutive triple-double
Westbrook is averaging a triple-double for the season with 21.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and a league-leading 11.2 assists per game. The win sees the Thunder move four wins clear of fourth-placed Portland and remain one game behind the Denver Nuggets.

As for the game itself, Anthem makes its grand debut on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 22nd! This may be the ideal way to kick off Valentine's Day. A tweet from the director in 2017, in which he shared his excitement about Anthem, prompted the two to come together. "Conviction sets the stage with a narrative that touches on Anthem's handsome and immersive world, which is ripe for exploration by these powerful Javelins". "Conviction sets the stage with a narrative that touches on Anthem's lovely and immersive world, which is ripe for exploration by these powerful Javelins". For those that love BioWare's knack for luring players into an incredible story with heartbreaking historical value, Anthem won't disappoint and the upcoming video short from the cinematic master himself will show exactly that to eager fans. Many may recall that in 2007, he directed the Halo: Landfall short.

We'll get to see what it's all about this Thursday, 14th February, on Blomkamp's Oats Studios youtube channel.
