Automakers recall 1.7 million cars with deadly Takata airbags

The recalls already affected more than 5 million.

It's just the latest round of recalls in the wake of revelations that Takata's airbag inflators can explode, hurling shrapnel into drivers and passengers.

The automakers involved in the recall are Subaru, Tesla, BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler vans, Mercedes and Ferrari. Earlier rounds include Toyota, Honda, and Ford models. Mercedes is calling back 288,779 cars from model years 2010 to 2017. Daimler wrote the vans affected by the recall were made from 2015 to 2017. Finally, Ferrari listed various 2014 to 2018 models. About 10 million inflators are being recalled in the US this year.

Fulham had thrown too many players forward and they were ruthlessly punished. Fulham remain second from bottom and seven points from safety on 17 points.

The goal has been to get replacement inflators to vehicle owners in the highest-risk regions first, and then to the rest of the country, as the supply of replacement inflators grows.
