Report Bucks send Thon Maker to Pistons for Stanley Johnson

Johnson, 22, is another former lottery pick that has not quite panned out.

While the Sixers are trying to build a contending team, the Milwaukee Bucks chose to give Thon Maker the chance to prove himself elsewhere, agreeing to a trade with the Detroit Pistons which will see former first-round pick Stanley Johnson head to the Bucks. "You know, it's tough, but he's a tough guy and this opportunity is going to be good for him".

Johnson gives the Bucks, who have the NBA's best record at 39-13, another strong wing defender as they prepare for a playoff push.

He has not lived up to expectations after being drafted by the Pistons with the No. 8 overall pick in 2015 and a relatively promising rookie season.

Brentford will travel to Swansea for an all-Championship tie after seeing off non-league outfit Barnet 3-1. Matt Doherty , who assisted on the game-winner, scored Wolves' first two goals in the first half.

Both Harris and star Sixers guard Jimmy Butler, acquired from Minnesota earlier this season, are free agents this off-season while Simmons is in line for a contract extension in the near future. Wilson has usurped more of Maker's minutes in recent weeks. Johnson is averaging 7.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in limited minutes-20.0 per game-for Detroit through 48 appearances and seven starts.

The Milwaukee Bucks have had little use for Thon Maker this season, as the 10th overall pick in 2016 has played just 35 games so far while averaging less than 12 minutes per contest.

But those instances were too infrequent and now Maker has a chance for more playing time with a rebuilding Pistons team.

The 21-year-old Maker, who played his high school basketball in Orangeville, Ont., reportedly made a trade request last week.
