Bugatti released more special editions of the Veyron than most of us have had hot meals, but despite the Chiron having been around for nearly three years there haven't been many tweaked variants to speak of.

"With the limited Chiron Sport "110 ans Bugatti", we're ushering in the 110th anniversary of Bugatti's foundation".

Much of the 1479bhp hypercar's bodywork revisions are themed around France's blue, white and red tricolour flag.

The underside of the rear spoiler, meanwhile, boasts the French flag over its entire width, with the spoiler mechanism anodised in matte black. The flag is to be seen on the vehicle's left flank, and mirrored on its right-hand side, rather than being applied the correct way around, a standard practice on French official vehicles in order to keep the colour of liberty (blue) to the fore on both sides. Bugatti said in its announcement this follows the form of official French vehicles, which ensure the flag's blue portion is to the fore on both sides of the auto. There's a matt black exhaust system too.

Dark blue is used throughout the cabin, while French Racing Blue highlights are found on the seats, window controls, seat belts, and storage areas. The surfaces are either soft Deep Blue leather, Alcantara or blue carbon fibre.

New Zealand 158 for eight in second T20 against India
Rohit Sharma led the charge scoring 50 off 29 balls and passing Martin Guptill to become the highest run scorer in global T20s. The review seemed to show there was touch on the bat at inside edge, but somehow the third umpire ruled Mitchell out.

A specially crafted medallion, meanwhile, is sited in the central console stowage space, fashioned from solid silver with enamel inserts and set on a carbon-fibre plate.

Bugatti says the old Type 10 had "adequate power", and this very special and very French Chiron definitely has that-its 8.0-litre W16 engine with four turbochargers makes a whopping 1,479 horsepower.

The Chiron is, to put it mildly, a rather special auto.

That's enough to get the machine from zero to 100 km/h in under 2.4 seconds; up to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds; and 300 in 13.1 seconds. The famed Bugatti line, the brand's graphic DNA, also adorns this exclusive model. Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. said: "Molsheim in the Alsace region of France is an essential element in Bugatti's brand history and this is also where we are planning our future".
