Chris Hemsworth Will Star As Hulk Hogan In Biopic

The Hollywood Reporter has learned Avengers star Chris Hemsworth will play Hulk Hogan in a biopic about the WWE legend. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "The biopic will not delve into [Hogan's recent years] or attempt to encompass an entire life".

The deal, which took months to put together, will include life rights with Bollea acting as a consultant on the movie as well as executive producer...

Before Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson flexed his arm so hard that his cast exploded, Hulk Hogan was probably the world's most famous wrestler-turned-actor.

Surfer 'lucky to be alive after Great White attack' at Byron Bay
He started screaming, we didn't realise until we paddled back to the beach that there was a big chunk taken out of his leg. On Sunday a search was continuing for a veteran lifeguard who went missing in unsafe surf at Lighthouse Beach at Ballina.

Born Terry Gene Bollea, Hogan began his career in the late 1970s in the Florida fighting circuit and when he started in the WWF frequently squared off against Andre the Giant as a villainous fighter.

In the 21st century, however, Hogan's fortunes were see-sawing as personal conflicts overtook those inside the ring. The controversy over racial comments he made and the legal fight against Gawker for releasing his sex tape will not be the focus. Michael Sugar, producer of Oscar Award-winning film Spotlight is attached to the project. Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman will co-produce the project, which is in the early stages. But this sounds a bit more like pro wrestling's Bohemian Rhapsody, a Queen biopic executive-produced by the surviving members of Queen that seemed to suggest Freddie Mercury might've been better off if he had just listened to the very, very smart and accomplished surviving members of Queen.
