According to Vancouver Coastal Health, there are now 13 confirmed cases of measles in the Vancouver region.

On Tuesday Washington State had 62 confirmed cases of the measles and Vancouver had nine.

A British Columbia health authority says that two new measles cases have been reported in the province, bringing the total number of cases so far this year to 13.

"The safety and security of our passengers, employees and community is our top priority". According to a statement from Vancouver Coastal Health, it is too late for the majority of people who may have been in contact with confirmed cases to take preventative action.

Health officials in Alberta and the Northwest Territories are warning that a person with measles passed through Vancouver and Edmonton before flying to other destinations in the North.

There were several locations of potential exposure in Leduc on that day, including the airport shuttle (when it visited the Paradise Inn and Suites, Crystal Star Inn, Wyndham Garden Edmonton Airport, and Wingate by Wyndham) between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., the Walmart Supercentre on Discovery Way between 5 and 7 p.m., and Stars Inn Hotel overnight. Riders who were on the Canada Line headed northbound or southbound between 9 to 11:30 a.m. should monitor themselves for symptoms.

The other case could not be linked to a definitive source of exposure, prompting VCH to issue a list of potential locations where that patient traveled between February 15 and 18, and where the public may have been exposed.

Up to 36 people linked to the child's school have been ordered to stay at home because they are either unvaccinated and are waiting out the incubation period, or have been able to provide proof of immunization.
