Dak Prescott scoffs at Tom Brady discount: I'm not married to Gisele

If the Dallas Cowboys want Dak Prescott to be the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future, owner Jerry Jones should be prepared to open up his checkbook.

"I think the team knows how to pay what's deserved", Prescott said.

Prescott expects the Cowboys to "pay what's deserved" and makes it clear he expects to be paid more than Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who has a team-friendly deal that paid him $15 million in 2018. And when that happens, the phrase "one of the NFL's biggest bargains" will forever lose its connection with a player who has started every game of his National Football League career (33-18 record), led his team to two playoff appearances, been selected to two Pro Bowls. and whose salary ranked him 55th among National Football League quarterbacks this past season.

However, Prescott isn't anxious about the Cowboys playing hardball in extension negotiations.

"Nobody's wife makes as much money as his wife does, either", Prescott said.

He is 32-16 since the Cowboys made him a fourth-round pick in 2016 and has set an National Football League record for most fourth-quarter and overtime comebacks (15) by a quarterback in his first three seasons. "When Tom Brady isn't the breadwinner in the home, then that's a great problem to have".

Prescott wants to remain a Cowboy, and the feeling is mutual. "He can do his contract however you want to do it".

Romo withdraws from Pebble Beach Pro
During Friday's play, Romo ended up on the patio of a hospitality tent on the 15th hole after sailing his drive. It wasn't such a good day, however for Shane Lowry after a 77 dropped him back to four over.

To this point in his career, Prescott has been making very little money, at least for quarterback standards.

Dallas also progressed to the divisional round of the playoffs before losing to the Los Angeles Ram 30-22.

This will be the first offseason where Prescott has the opportunity to renegotiate his terms and he's in a strong position after winning seven of his last eight regular-season games.

He finished the 2018/19 season with a a passer rating of 96.9, after having thrown for 3,885 yards and 22 touchdowns.

"It's nearly comical sometimes".

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made an average of $33.5 million in 2018, and his team went just 6-9-1 and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
