David Fincher Netflix: Love, Death & Robots' Premiere Date, Trailer

Love Death + Robots Trailer

Love Death + Robots Trailer

Netflix said Thursday that its way adult-skewed animated anthology series Love Death and Robots from Tim Miller and David Fincher will premiere on the streaming service March 15.

This looks completely nuts. Check out the trailer for Netflix's Love, Death + Robots.

NGK teaser: Suriya to lead the masses in Selvaraghavan’s next
The biggest highlight of the teaser is Yuvan Shankar Raja's excellent background score, which really sets the screen on fire. Suriya was last seen in Thaana Serntha Kootam by Vignesh Shivan which is a remake of the Hindi film Special 26 .

The descriptions of the 18 shorts were entirely insane by themselves - "Sentient Dairy Products, Rogue Werewolf Soldiers, Robots Gone Wild, Sexy Cyborgs, Alien Spiders, and Blood-thirsty Demons From Hell", per an earlier press release - but now we have the first trailer and it's a whole new ballgame. Just make sure the kids don't see the word "robots" and dive in. The creators were assembled for a global calling for best in class animators from all over the world including artists from France, Korea, Hungary, Canada and the US, among others. As you may have guessed - and especially after spotting the latter filmmaker's name - this is an entirely NSFW endeavor that spans several genres (sci-fi, horror, fantasy and comedy) while drawing from what feels like an infinite number of animation styles within 18 short films. It feels nearly like Heavy Metal in a way.

"Love, Death & Robots is my dream project", says Miller, who will exec produce with Fincher, Jennifer Miller and Josh Donen. Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. "I'm so f*cking excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation".
