Eddie Hearn expects Anthony Joshua-Oleksandr Usyk fight in 2020

Promoter Eddie Hearn is preparing to take Usyk up a weight class with a contest against Alexander Povetkin of Russian Federation, and is already seeing the path for a fight with Joshua - his prize fighter.

"I want a doubleheader with Usyk and Smith - the two WBSS winners and the two Ring magazine champions on the same card", Hearn told Sky Sports.

If Anthony Joshua gets past Jarrell Miller on June 1st, not only will Dillian Whyte, Anthony Joshua, and Tyson Fury be on the waiting list, but undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will be in line.

The unbeaten pair each won their versions of the World Boxing Super Series past year - Smith at super-middleweight and Usyk at cruiserweight. Usyk cleaned house at cruiserweight for the WBSS crown, while Smith knocked out George Groves to become the WBSS at super middleweight.

Hearn ruled out the possibility that Smith, at least in his next fight, would make his first defense in his home city of Liverpool.

Chance of severe weather Saturday afternoon
Areas from Nashville metro west, and especially across the southwest, have the highest probability of severe storms. This week, the NWS released its first Spring Flood and Water Resource Outlook of the year.

"Billy Joe Saunders has moved up to super-middle". Months later Usyk, already a WBSS victor, beat Tony Bellew.

"I know that Sergey respects that and so do I. That's what boxing should be about".

Hearn, Joshua's promoter, says the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight title-holder could well do battle with the Ukrainian in a mandatory bout next year. "That fight comes in 2020".

Joshua's next assignment is a United States debut against Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden on June 1.
