Ellen Page Drags Chris Pratt for His "Infamously" Anti-LGBTQ Church

Ellen Page pointed out that Pratt's church of choice has had a history of anti-LGBT activity and its outspoken pastor clearly stated that no members of the LGBT community would be a part of the church's leadership.

The 31-year-old actress recently criticised Pratt, who identifies as a non-denominational Christian, for attending services at the Zoe Church and Hillsong over their attitudes towards LGBTQ people.

'Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren't two sides. He also said how the church's pastor shared some words of wisdom about how he can balance fame and his inner self.

Page's comment was met with negative responses from Twitter users, but the Umbrella Academy star would not apologize for taking a stand. "It's a real bright spotlight".

She branded the megachurch Hillsong, which has not only Pratt, but also Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez among its members, "infamously anti-LGBTQ".

Chris Pratt is often thought of as one of Hollywood's most likable-and most bankable-leading men, but Ellen Page isn't having it. She co-hosted the 2016 Viceland documentary series Gaycation about LGBTQ cultures around the world. Earlier when she appeared on the Late Show, she spoke out against the racist and homophobic attack on Empire star Jussie Smollett, and even condemned Vice President Mike Pence's anti-LGBTQ policies and his support of conversion therapy.

"If you are a famous actor and you belong to an organization that hates a certain group of people, don't be surprised if someone simply wonders why it's not addressed". If your love and tolerance has limits, then maybe you aren't as loving and tolerant as you think you are. Page said. "Kids are going to be abused, and they're going to kill themselves". "Daniel was a guy who only ate fruits, vegetables and grains", said Pratt of the fast, and continued to discuss the role that church and religion plays in his life. "This needs to f-ing stop".
