His agent tells ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the big man has agreed to a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. I look forward to helping the Blazers achieve the ultimate goal of competing for a championship.

Blazers beat a crowded field for Kanter, including the Lakers, per sources.

The Knicks officially waived Kanter on Thursday's trade deadline and ate the remainder of his $18.6 million contract for this season - the reason they couldn't trade him. This is a really solid addition for the Blazers, who now have Kanter, Jusuf Nurkić, Meyers Leonard and Jake Layman manning the front court.

The Blazers are now sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 33-23. Portland signed Kanter to a $70M offer sheet in 2015, which OKC matched. In an effort to experiment with his young core, coach David Fizdale would play him in just three games over a 12-game span, prompting Kanter to publicly voice his frustrations to the NY media over a lack of playing time and those receiving court time ahead of him, namely recent acquisition DeAndre Jordan.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy could be getting a Nintendo Switch release this summer
Although information on the Switch version of the game has leaked in the past, we haven't heard about it since lasts July. The Reignited Trilogy seems to be following the same release date path as the Crash Bandicoot N' Sane Trilogy .

Kanter's role with the Knicks had decreased in the weeks leading up to the deadline, which led him to express displeasure over his limited role.

Kanter averaged 14 points and 10.5 rebounds - tied for 12th in the league - in just 25.6 minutes per game this season for the Knicks. He appeared in 44 games.

The third overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the 2011 Draft, the 6-11 center has averaged 11.9 points on 55 percent shooting from the field and 7.6 points in 560 games over the course of his seven-plus National Basketball Association season.
