Those misses served to keep Scotland's interest in the contest alive for much of the game, but it would have been a complete travesty if this had been anything but a dominating French victory.

"We feel as though we're letting ourselves down in some senses".

"I was convinced that we would [produce] a big game and I am very happy for the team and the staff who work very hard".

Aldritt peeled off the back and went over in the right corner for the first of two similar tries.

"I would like to thank all the people who came because it had been a long time since we had seen this stadium so full and with such an atmosphere". "Ireland are one of the top five teams in the world".
