A New Chucky Emerges In the First Trailer for High Tech 'Child's Play' Remake

Orion Pictures has released the first official trailer for "Child's Play", which hopes to do for killer doll Chucky what "It" did for evil clown Pennywise in 2017. In this telling of the classic story, Karen Barclay (Aubrey Plaza) buys her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) the Kasdan Corporation's latest model of Buddi that, like many modern-day "smart" toys, is jam packed with technology to make playing with it more interesting. "You know, I had just done two movies... forgive me if I sound defensive, [they] were both at 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes".

The same can be said of Tilly herself, particularly it seems when it comes to the subject of the upcoming remake of 1988's Child's Play, the film which introduced the world to Tiffany's paramour, the similarly homicidal Chucky. "And I did create the character and nurture the franchise for three fucking decades".

Police would later discover the remains of seven men in garden planters at the home where McArthur had worked as a landscaper. Before he was arrested in January 2018, McArthur had been interviewed by police twice in connection with the disappearances.

"New "Chucky" movie?" Tilly wrote Friday on Twitter.

Though we don't get a good look at the titular doll, we do see some of his handiwork at play. Instead, the remake was overseen by writer Tyler Burton Smith and Norwegian director Lars Klevberg.
