Henderson will be itching to feature in Sunday's Rome clash against Italy, but could be ruled out if handed a suspension in a Tuesday night Pro14 disciplinary hearing in Edinburgh.

The Ulster lock was cited for unsafe play for a tackle during Saturday's Pro14 win over the Ospreys in Bridgend.

Henderson acknowledged the foul play but argued that he had been attempting a legitimate manoeuvre which was destabilised by another player.

The panel did not uphold the citing complaint "given the limited ability of the player to take avoiding action in a short space of time".

"As the act did not merit an on-field red card, the citing complaint was not upheld".

Landon Collins makes it clear he's ready for Giants end
However, the New York Post later refuted the report, which prompted a tweet from Collins himself for clarification. The Giants would then have until July 15 to agree to a long-term contract with him.

That brought Ireland's enviable second-row depth to the fore - another engine-roomer Devin Toner also being out - as Quinn Roux impressed mightily while starting alongside mainstay James Ryan in the Round Two victory over Scotland, with Ultan Dillane also effective off the bench.

Henderson was named in the initial group for the tournament, yet a finger injury kept him out of the opening two matches against England and Scotland.

Another Ulsterman though is out of contention for the trip with Will Addison rehabbing back stiffness at his province.

His uncapped Connacht team-mate Caolin Blade instead keeps his place as cover for Conor Murray and John Cooney.

Garry Ringrose, Rhys Ruddock and Will Addison will continue to nurse injuries at their respective clubs this week and are not included.
