The MateBook X Pro (2019) takes up what last year's original did and shifts things in overdrive with faster connectivity, faster silicon, but with the same sleek suit of armor with the same tricks up it's sleeves. The MateBook X Pro starts at 1,599 euro, while the MateBook 14 starts at 1,199. That will be tough to tell without an official price yet, but it's looking like an impressive laptop nevertheless. The older MateBook X Pro 2018 will not be updated with Share OneHop as Huawei says it is incompatible. Pricing for the U.S. market will be announced at a later date. The company is rounding out of its PC family, but the main draw is the triumphant return of the MateBook X Pro, upgraded for 2019 with up to 8th generation Core i7 processors, up to 16 gigs of RAM and 1TB of storage (double the amount from last year).

The Huawei MateBook 14 is powered by up to Intel's 8th Core i7 processor paired with a PCIe x4 SSD. The MateBook X Pro also packs four speakers (two tweeters + two woofers) with Dolby Atmos, two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, new Thunderbolt 3 port, Wi-Fi 6, and fingerprint power button. The MateBook 13, on the other hand, will be available beginning this month.

In addition, as the new Huawei MateBook X Pro has a Thunderbolt 3 port that can deliver speeds up to 40 Gb/S, the system supports pairing with an external graphics card up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 2080 level power. Along with the MateBook X, Huawei also revealed the MateBook 14, a laptop that features lower-end hardware but a similar design, and a refreshed version of the MateBook 13.

The MateBook 14 will start at 1199 Euros and it will be available in Space Gray, Mystic Silver, or Pink Gold colors. That makes this Huawei's thickest and heaviest flagship machine yet, but not by much.

The FTSE 250 firm also confirmed that the agreement under which it disposed of its entire holding in Propius had also become unconditional.

The company says that the MateBook X Pro and MateBook 14 will go on sale starting April 2019 in various markets around the world. This screen also features a 100% sRGB colour gamut and a peak brightness of 450 nits.

The MateBook X Pro will also give you a keyboard that aims to provide a more comfortable typing experience than that of the MacBook Pro. Huawei also went with a taller 3:2 aspect ratio for this display, naturally.

Huawei's MateBook laptop brand stands for a few key features - there is of course a wonderfully thin profile to the devices, a 3:2 display with a high screen:body ratio across the line, biometric security in the form of a fingerprint reader in the power button, and popup camera in the keyboard offering users peace of mind that the laptop's camera isn't watching their every move (it also lets them make the bezels ridiculously small around the screen). Huawei confirmed to MobileSyrup that the new MateBook 13 will be released in Canada this coming March. This decision is only going to turn away buyers that find themselves in lots of video meetings.
