Khabib Nurmagomedov Explains Why he Won't be Doing a PSA For Nevada

Khabib Nurmagomedov has the opportunity to have his nine-month Nevada State Athletic Commission suspension reduced if he produces an anti-bullying PSA, but it appears as though the UFC lightweight champion isn't willing to cooperate. "Probably 3-fight, 4-fight, billion-dollar deal if that's what I wanted".

The UFC 229 post-fight melee made plenty of headlines but it could well have resulted in one of the biggest stories of the year as Leonardo DiCaprio narrowly escaped injury following Khabib Nurmagomedov's infamous leap. Much to the dismay of the champion, Nurmagomedov said that he would not fight again until Tukhugov and Abubakar's suspensions are up, meaning he is sitting out until the end of the year.

While incredibly noble, Nurmagomedov's decision puts a bit of a hold on the entire lightweight division.

UFC President Dana White admits he feels Khabib's punishment from the NSAC is "a little harsh".

Speaking with ESPN's Brett Okamoto, White was asked about Nurmagomedov's intentions and whether they may create the need for an interim title at 155. "That surprised me, but in general, he's a regular guy".

It is also being reported that Arsenal and Tottenham are tracking the United prospect as well as the Italian and German giants. Henderson, from Whitehaven in Cumbria, joined United from Carlisle as a 14-year-old.

But it seems Khabib Nurmagomedov is done fighting in Nevada.

"It was interesting for me how he would sit there [amid so many people]", Nurmagomedov said. "It was really nice to hear his speech, how he praised me and said that the country was proud and was waiting to welcome me home".

'I think that they will create an interim title, ' Khabib told Sportbox.

"It could be between [Dustin] Poirier and [Tony] Ferguson".

Nurmagomedov said that after he met DiCaprio in Paris, the actor invited him out for dinner. There were fighters who didn't fight for two years and didn't have their belts taken for a year and a half. I think this can happen. At the moment I don't know for sure'.
