LeBron James isn't ready to retire from the National Basketball Association but said Friday when he does hang up his jersey that he plans to buy an National Basketball Association franchise.

The absence was the longest of LeBron's career and dealt a major blow to the Lakers' chances of reaching the playoff, as they went 6-11 over the stretch. It would have to be the right situation.

The questions came after an earlier story from The Athletic quoted James saying, "Ain't no maybe about it, I'm going to do that s-", when asked about owning a team after he retires.

"I feel great. I feel great", he was quoted as saying by NBC Sports. "It's at the forefront of interest considering the Lakers' record at this point of the season". That's my only mindset.

While the game's best player joining one of the league's premier franchises has made for intense and endless coverage, it was also the target of pointed criticism by Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant. Lakers president and NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson gave a ringing endorsement of James' ownership potential and cited the lack of minority owners in the NBA.

Trump Calls Jussie Smollett Attack 'Horrible'
According to the website, Jussie will reference MAGA (Make America Great Again), homophobia and racism during the gig. Many celebrities have shown their support for Jussie following the attack, including his Empire costars Taraji P.

James is captain of one of the two All-Star teams competing this weekend.

James would have to fork over a pretty penny in order to make this happen.

He has since switched to the LA Lakers and has endured a hard year so far, with the Staples Centre side now in 10th position in the Western Conference.

"It was one of the easiest in the game".

Las Vegas oddsmakers believe LeBron James' 13-year postseason streak could be in serious jeopardy with the Los Angeles Lakers.
