Leeds winger Jack Clarke has been taken to hospital after falling ill during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough.

The huge amount of injury time was due to Leeds 18-year-old substitute the highly-rated Jack Clarke being taken ill and after undergoing medical attention was taken to hospital.

But Clarke required emergency assistance towards the end of the game and received oxygen before being taken away on a stretcher.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa confirmed Clarke was feeling "better" in the dressing room but would be checked in hospital.

A man - understood to have been an intern from Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa's Argentina homeland - was rumbled at Derby County's training ground in the build-up to a game at Elland Road last month, which Leeds won 2-0. We don't really know the reasons yet.

In response, a statement from the Yorkshire club read: 'Leeds United acknowledge the statement made by the EFL this evening regarding an incident at Derby County's training ground in January. "He was taken back into the dressing room, where he seemed to have overcome the problem but he's gone to hospital now to see if everything is alright".

US, Palestinians: Tweeting but not talking
Israel maintains that any negotiations with the Palestinians should take place directly and not involving outside parties. It said the Palestinian government would ignore all conclusions made by the conference.

The attacker sought treatment on the Leeds bench after being taken off at the Riverside Stadium.

"The important thing is that fingers crossed, the boy is okay and he recovers because he's a very talented young player", he said.

"All our thoughts from Middlesbrough Football Club go to the lad".

Boro had opened the scoring in the 47th minute, but Leeds' Kalvin Phillips rose to the occasion, scoring a late, late equaliser deep into added time to secure a point for the visitors.

The draw sends Bielsa's side a point clear of Norwich at the top though the Canaries can reclaim that position if they beat East Anglian rivals bottom-placed Ipswich Town on Sunday.
