Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand passes away

The actor was a popular face during 80s and 90s. He was known for films such as Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Swarg (1990), Thanedaar (1990), Vishwatma (1992), Gumrah (1993), Khuddar (1994), Betaaj Badshah (1994), Vijeta (1996) and Kurukshetra (2000).

Mumbai: Mahesh Anand, who essayed negative role in a number of Bollywood movies, was on Saturday found dead at his residence here in mysterious circumstances.

The police are trying to ascertain the cause of his death and have sent his body to Cooper Hospital. He has shared screen space with superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra and many others. Meanwhile, his ex-wife told Peepingmoon that she was unaware of his death and was quoted as saying, "We are not in touch since 2002". When contacted by Peeping Moon.com, she said she has not been in contact with him for a long time.
