Nissan Rogue Sport brings more sleekness, safety to Chicago

2020 Nissan Rogue Sport Arrives With Fresh Styling And Tech

Nissan unveiled the 2020 Rogue Sport at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show on Thursday.

Looking sleeker than its predecessor, the Rouge Sport adopts a new front fascia with a V-Motion grille that echoes newer models such as the Altima and Maxima. The crossover has also been equipped with restyled headlights, a new hood and rectangular fog lights.

The styling changes are less noticeable out back, but the crossover gains updated taillights with clear inserts.

The advanced Nissan Safety Shield 360, now offered on SV and SL grades, will become standard on all 2020 Rogue Sport models including the base S grade. Customers can also order an optional Bose premium audio system with nine speakers.

Ronan Farrow says National Enquirer tried to blackmail him too
A spokesman for American Media Inc ., publisher of the National Enquirer , didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The National Enquirer published a story last month that included lurid texts between Bezos and Sanchez .

The biggest addition for the 2020 model year is the expansion of Nissan's Safety Shield 360 technology to all trim levels. Part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility strategy, Safety Shield 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and High Beam Assist (HBA).

Most prominent among the 2020 Rogue Sport refinements is the new exterior design that offers a more technical feel - helping provide a greater separation from its Nissan Rogue stable mate. A 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine making 141 hp at 6,000 rpm and 147 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm attached to a CVT, which Nissan calls Xtronic, remains as the only powertrain offered.

Building on the upgrades the Qashqai has received for 2019, the new exterior design helps differentiate the vehicle from its larger Rogue stablemate. A continuously variable transmission is the only one available, but the Rogue Sport is available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Canadian pricing and availability have not been announced for either model, but we expect they will become available closer to the release date.
