North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders to gather in London in December

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on Wednesday that the alliance is to organize the next meeting of NATO heads of state and government in London in December 2019.

Stoltenberg said the British capital was the ideal setting to mark 70 years of transatlantic military cooperation.

In an official release issued on February 6, he further mentioned that Britain "continues to play a key role in the Alliance, making essential contributions to our shared security".

"NATO is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and this date should remind all allies of the importance of the alliance in ensuring their security".

"But now we have secured, over the last couple of years, more than $100 billion of increase in defense spending from our North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies".

"The UK has played a central role throughout Nato's history as it has adapted to deal with new and complex threats to our security".

With an invitation still outstanding for the US President to make a formal state visit, the huge protests and expensive police operation when Mr Trump visited the United Kingdom previous year could be doubled in 2019.

LeBron James trades Russell Westbrook to Giannis Antetokounmpo for Ben Simmons
It was a cool idea, but for some, there was one problem: We had no idea when the captains selected everyone to be on their teams. Milwaukee's Mike Budenholzer will coach Team Giannis, his second time leading an All-Star team.

Despite that, he is still due to make a full-blown state visit at some point.

That's just police figures - and with Foreign Office costs not yet disclosed, the bouffant billionaire's impact on our wallets is likely to be even higher.

During that trip in July, the president visited Theresa May at Chequers and met the Queen at Windsor Castle.

Thousands also protested across Scotland during what was termed as a "private visit", and police investigated a Greenpeace-backed paraglider who flew over the resort.

The Liberal Democrats said they will be "front and centre to protest his visit", while the Green Party tweeted "we'll be there to greet him", adding a defiant gesture.

'These claims have been paid in full'.
