"Terrorism is a common concern and Saudi Arabia will cooperate with India in fighting it, including in matters like intelligence sharing", Prince Mohammed said in a press statement alongside Modi in New Delhi.

The Saudi delegation had wanted the Delhi leg of the crown prince tour to be devoted to bolstering its oil supplies to India.

The crown prince said the two countries were in each other's "DNA", highlighting the importance of Indian labour and experts in Saudi Arabia over the past 70 years as well as a longstanding Saudi presence in India. In an interview to PTI, meanwhile, Saudi foreign minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said any terrorist or anyone who supports and finances terrorism must be proscribed by the United Nations, even as he rejected suggestions that Riyadh was opposed to India's efforts to get Azhar banned by the world body.

Saudi Arabia now supplies about 20 percent of India's crude oil and wants to definitively push aside arch-rival Iran as a source. The Saudi royal visited Pakistan and met Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday.

The attack was claimed by Pakistan-based Islamist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and has sparked calls in India for a firm response. On the other hand, it's welcome that Riyadh under MBS's leadership is looking to diversify its strategic engagements and sees New Delhi as a reliable partner. On Sunday, Saudi Arabia announced agreements with Pakistan worth $20bn.

'The Twilight Zone' Trailer: Revival From Jordan Peele
The CBS All Access series will be a modern reimagining of the original, which premiered in 1959 and continued through 1964. Jordan Peele is taking us from the sunken place of Get Out to the twisted and wild worlds of The Twilight Zone .

The Crown Prince's visit comes days after a militant attack in the disputed region of Kashmir which involved a bombing of a security convoy in which more than 40 Indian paramilitary police officers were killed. These relations would improve for the sake of both countries, he told reporters.

The promise came as fallout from a suicide bomb attack that India has blamed on Pakistan overshadowed the latest leg of the crown prince's tour aiming to boost his country's image.

Recalling the visit of Modi to Riyadh in 2016, he said that "since then we have made great strides, and Saudi Arabia has made the investment of $44 million". In keeping with a long-standing policy of not commenting on countries' internal affairs, India declined to take a position on the Washington Post columnist's killing by suspected Saudi agents at the consulate. He is expected to visit China after India.

They said that it was the Crown Prince who broached the subject to India's Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, saying: "So, you have asked for an increase in Haj quota to 190,000". The relationship between the people of Saudi and India is like a "living bridge", he added.
