Legendary British actress Joanna Lumley is returning to host this year's awards ceremony, which is honoring a wide swath of award show favorites.

Bafta removed "Bohemian Rhapsody" director Bryan Singer from the Queen biopic´s citation in the outstanding British film nomination "in light of recent very serious allegations".

Coleman, who stars as Britain's Queen Anne in the film, seemed ecstatic about her friend's prize as she gave her a peck on the cheek and congratulated her.

Colman - who rose to fame playing Sophie Chapman in Peep Show - paid tribute to her "classiest and coolest" fellow co-stars in the film, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone, and said in her eyes, the award was for all three of them as leads, and that she would "scratch in" their names on the Bafta statuette too.

Addressing the other winners from The Favourite, Olivia continued: "We are having an incredible night aren't we? We're going to get so (drunk) later", Colman told her fellow "The Favourite" nominees as she picked up the award to loud cheers. It's weird. but this is for all three of us.

Alfonso Cuaron's semi-autobiographical film, about a domestic worker in 1970s Mexico, has won a string of prizes this awards season, further cementing its path to potential Oscar success. "It's got my name on it, but we can scatch some other names on".

"Black Panther" won the best visual effects. The only thing that pretty much pulled me out of that was God, my belief, my faith and my family and an email from Bafta saying they wanted me to be a part of the Bafta Breakthrough Brits and I was like "let me try again".

Revealing she'd prepared something, unlike her Golden Globes speech, she continued: "I do know what to say, I've actually written something down". God made you and you are important...

BlackKklansman won the prize for Best Adapted Screenplay and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse scored the Best Animated Film trophy. The Bafta Fellowship went to Thelma Schoonmaker, film editor to Martin Scorsese for more than 50 years.

"Free Solo" - a film about the first person to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park without ropes - won the award for best documentary.
