Raptors to sign veteran point guard Jeremy Lin

The Raptors will add point guard Jeremy Lin on either Wednesday or Thursday, having successfully navigated the buyout market following Lin's release from the Atlanta Hawks.

"I just think he's got to get a little bit more engaged, right?" And according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Lin's next stop will be Toronto. The video of his memorably buzzer-beater in Toronto made the social media rounds.

The Raptors were looking for a third point guard after trading Delon Wright to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the deal to acquire Marc Gasol last week.

Lin thanked the Hawks in his post, saying they helped him "become myself again on the basketball court and allowed me to experience the joy of hoops again!"

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is sidelined with a partial ligament injury to his left thumb, the team announced Monday.

Jarrett Allen, one of the league's best defenders, guarded Leonard in the final play. He's an elite competitor.

"Very smart. And versatile".

The Japanese firms jettisoned Ghosn nearly immediately but Renault waited much longer and the tycoon eventually resigned as chairman and CEO.

The 30-year-old Lin is averaging 10.7 points per game on 46.6 per cent shooting from the field this season.

Toronto will become Lin's eighth National Basketball Association franchise, after stints with Golden State, New York, Houston, the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte, Brooklyn and this season Atlanta.

The plan to enter into an agreement with Lin comes one day after the Raptors finalized the conversion of two-way player Chris Boucher's contract to an National Basketball Association standard contract.

Leonard had a game-high 30 points and hit the winning shot with 4.2 seconds left as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Brooklyn Nets 127-125 on Monday.

Nets: In his second game since missing 42 with a foot injury, Caris LeVert shot 3-for-11 and scored six points.
