What isn't clear from McKenzie's tweet is whether the Sharks beat out the Bruins' offer or Nyquist wouldn't waive his no-trade clause to join the Bruins.

The Detroit Red Wings traded winger Gustav Nyquist to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night in exchange for a pair of draft picks, a second-round pick and a conditional third-rounder.

Nyquist, 29, is now second on the Red Wings in scoring, with 49 points (16 goals, 33 assists) in 62 games.

"Gustav is a talented, versatile forward who plays with speed and a strong hockey sense", San Jose general manager Doug Wilson said in a statement.

WWE Raw Ticket Sales Increased Ahead Of Roman Reigns Return
Reigns will play the role of The Rock's brother in the movie, which Reigns recently finished shooting. Other superstars simply left as they weren't happy with the working conditions.

The Sharks wanted to add more forward depth as they try to make a run for a title this season.

The Red Wings 2008 fourth round pick has 15 goals and 33 assists this season. He carries a $4.75 million cap hit this season. The 37-18-8 Sharks are third in the Pacific Division and overall, three points behind Calgary.

The Red Wings are in rebuilding mode with the third-fewest points in the league this season with 55. Nyquist will likely fit in on either the second or third line with San Jose.

The conditional pick would become a second-round pick in 2020 if San Jose would advance to the 2019 Stanley Cup Final or if the Sharks re-sign Nyquist, who will be a free agent this summer.
