Panthers get good value with the invaluable Eric Reid

That's no longer the case after the team announced Monday that they had re-signed 27-year old safety Eric Reid to a three-year deal worth just over $22m.

At just 27 years old, Reid should have at least several seasons of good football ahead of him.

"If anything, it proves my point from a year ago", Reid said. "I'm still the same player".

"I think the biggest difference for me this season [will be] to have an offseason to train with the team and have a training camp to share with the team", said Reid. He was available as a free agent - his contract with the 49ers had expired last March - because no team signed the 2013 first-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers, who became the first player to join quarterback Colin Kaepernick in kneeling during the national anthem to protest social injustice.

Ready meals link to greater risk of dying
Artificial sweeteners, food packaging and food additives such as titanium dioxide have also been linked to these diseases. It was also associated with younger age, poorer education, living alone, lower physical activity and higher body weight .

Kaepernick is still out of the league and Reid believes that won't change anytime soon.

Reid also addressed the joint statement from the NFL and the NFL Players Association in January that he was not targeted by the league with too many drug tests in 2018.

"I believe otherwise", Reid said.

Reid was set to become an unrestricted free agent after completing his first season with Carolina. He made 71 tackles, defended five passes and grabbed one interception last season. "Charlotte reminds me of Louisiana in the sense that [there's] a lot of country, a lot of space". He said it was hard jumping right into the defense a year ago in the middle of the season and having to learn all of the calls.
