The Duchess took inspiration from a canteen manager in the USA, who wrote affirmations on bananas to make school children feel empowered. "This is one of the weirdest, most ridiculous things I have ever seen a member of the Royal Family do".

But Morgan scoffed at the idea on Good Morning Britain.

"Giving prostitutes an "empowering" banana after they've spent the night subjecting their bodies to often vile, sexually depraved men, is quite another [thing]", he added.

"It's literally like here's Meghan Markle, actress, marries handsome prince, lives in a palace - comes along, picks up a bunch of bananas and says "you're strong" - it's so patronising".

The Duchess of Sussex.

Markle was greeting a group of young children when one particularly precocious boy approached the royal couple and began questioning them.

During her and husband Prince Harry's tour of New Zealand and Australia past year, during which they revealed they were expecting a baby, Morgan slammed her as being "fake".
