It is the first time someone has won the top EuroMillions prize since January 1.

And the National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers are: 13, 16, 19, 31, 33 and the Thunderball is 03.

National Lottery chief executive Dermot Griffin said: "We are delighted the victor has made contact".

It is one of the highest in EuroMillions jackpot history.

The ticket was bought in a shop in Naul, north County Dublin.

The lucky Irish punter bagged the incredible amount - €175,475,380 to be exact - after matching five numbers and two stars in Tuesday's draw.

He said it has been an incredibly lucky period for players in Ireland.

He would ultimately run out of partners, though, as Southee returned to dismiss captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Nathan Astle (7090), Martin Guptill (6440) and Brendon McCullum (6083) round out the top five.

"We hope to be in a position to give details on where the winning ticket was sold later today".

Frances and Patrick Connolly, who live in Moira, County Down, matched the winning numbers in the New Year's Day draw.

"If you do have this ticket please keep it safe, sign the back of it, contact us tomorrow as soon as you can and we'll guide you through the claims process".

Speaking to BBC News NI, National Lottery spokesperson Miriam Donohoe said: "It's such a big win it will be a huge shock to the ticket holder".

5 September 2013: A young man from the southeast shared a jackpot of over €25m with a player in Spain, taking home over €12.8m.

7 September 2014: An €86.7m jackpot was won by a syndicate from Dublin. The ticket was sold in Eason's store, Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow.

3 June 2009: A family syndicate shared the jackpot with a British victor, taking home over €29.4m with a ticket they purchased in Dublin. The ticket was sold in O'Hanlon's Portarlington.

14 February 2019: Single victor of EuroMillions.
