An MRI on Tuesday revealed no structural damage and the No. 3 pick of the 2014 National Basketball Association draft will be evaluated again next week. The next steps for his return to the court are "treatment involving physical therapy and load management", the team said. He had an MRI which revealed no structural damage. As a precaution, he is listed as out and will be re-evaluated in approximately one week.

Embiid has a well-known injury history dating back to his days at the University of Kansas when a broken foot just prior to the draft saw him drop to No. 3 overall.

Brown said he did not believe the injury was connected to the All-Star game. Jones is averaging 7.4 points this season.

The 7-foot-2 center is averaging 27.3 points and 13.5 rebounds per game for the Sixers, who are now in fifth place in the Eastern Conference coming out of the All-Star break.

This is huge news for the Heat who are looking to improve upon their 26-30 record and get back into the thick of the playoff race.

With both Embiid and Korkmaz out of the lineup for the next week, the Sixers will have to find some productivity from somewhere else if the team is to make some hay and attempt to move into the third seed in the conference.
