Jordan Spieth will use his father as a caddie this weekend at the WGC-Mexico Championship, but it will be for a somber reason.

Shawn Spieth only goes to a handful of tournaments outside the majors and wasn't planning to be in Mexico City this week until he chose to fly down from Dallas on Tuesday, before Greller learned that his father had died. Bear was a great father, husband, and grandfather.

It is unclear when Greller will return to Spieth's bag.

Shawn Spieth, Jordan's father, will take Greller's place at Club de Golf Chapultepec, where the first round begins Thursday.

Trump lawyer Cohen reschedules public testimony
When he does, he will have to face-off against a handful of eager and frustrated lawmakers from both parties. Cohen is also scheduled to testify at a closed hearing of the House Intelligence Committee on February 28.

The story was first reported on the Golf Channel.

"Heavy heart for Michael and his family", Christine Spieth, Jordan's mother, tweeted Wednesday evening.

Together they have won 11 PGA Tour titles, including three major championships. Last week at Riviera, he was in contention before a final-round 81.
