Coinbase Exchange Users Can Buy and Sell XRP Starting Tomorrow

According to Coinbase, "support for XRP will initially be available for Coinbase Pro users in the USA (excluding NY), UK, supported European Union member nations, Canada, Singapore, and Australia, with more jurisdictions to be possibly added at a future date".

It was announced on Feb 25, 2019 via Coinbase's official blog.

Currently, Ripple is battling a class action lawsuit in Northern California's San Mateo Superior Court around XRP's securities classification. It will also be available in the U.K, Canada, Singapore, Australia and supported European Union member nations. The blog further reads to add other jurisdiction in near future. Coinbase will post tweets announcing the stages separately.

Coinbase started accepting inbound transfers of XRP to Coinbase Pro at 18:00 UTC, and it will continue to "accept deposits for a minimum of 12 hours prior to enabling full trading".

In its announcement today, Coinbase revealed that support for XRP will initially be available for Coinbase Pro users in the U.S, excluding NY.

Trading will be rolled out in four stages as the order book fills up. In the limit-only phase, the limit orders will be matched, but the users will not be able to submit market orders.
