Tolkien Trailer Nicholas Hoult Stars as Author J.R.R. Tolkien

After the massive success of the Rings and Hobbit movies from Peter Jackson (forget that the last two Hobbit installments were just meh) as well as the upcoming Rings adaptation on Amazon, it really is the ideal time to tell Tolkien's personal story of how it all came together.

Making his first English language feature, the film was made by Finnish director Dome Karukoski and features Kill Your Friends star Nicholas Hoult in the lead role, Lily Collins as Tolkien's wife Edith Bratt, and Colm Meaney as Father Francis Morgan.

In a clever touch, the "O" in "Tolkien" floats on the screen before shining like a certain legendary ring in its rightful place.

On Tuesday, FoxSearchlight shared a Tolkien trailer on YouTube, which highlights the personal struggles and fantasies of the well-known author.

Winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks dies aged 81
He started every game for his country during the 1966 tournament and played in the 4-2 victory over West Germany in the final. His death was confirmed by his former club Stoke City which tweeted a statement from his family.

Catch the trailer in full (it's only 55 seconds long, so not too much of an investment for a middle-of-the-work-day watch) in the video above. A transcript of the voiceover is below. Tolkien replies, "It's a story about journeys, the journeys we take to prove ourselves". "It's about adventures. It's about potent magic - magic beyond anything anyone has ever felt before". About what it means to love, to be loved. "About courage. It's about fellowship".
