The Latest: Trump says House intel probe has no basis

President Trump took to Twitter on Friday to try to undercut House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and complain about media coverage of ongoing investigations into possible coordination between his 2016 campaign and Russian Federation. But just 16 hours later, he mockingly slammed the California Democrat after Schiff announced the panel would investigate Trump's 2016 campaign, possible nefarious ties to Moscow and whether the former real estate mogul's potential interest in financial gain has influenced his decisions as chief executive.

It's unclear exactly who Trump was talking about, but the tweet comes as Schiff appears to have hired at least one staff member who served on the National Security Council under Trump.

The moves come as Schiff and other Democrats prepare to launch new probes into Trump, leading to concerns inside the White House that some career staffers opposed to Trump's policies may use the opportunity to damage him.

Schiff's office declined to comment on whether any individuals from the Trump administration have been hired, leaving open the question of whether hires from the National Security Council worked under Trump or another President. She was not a senior official on the NSC but knew the organization well, according to two people familiar with her work.

'Veep' Final Season 7 Premiere Date - Julia Louis-Dreyfus
HBO announced Friday that the seventh and final season of the hit political satire will premiere March 31. Added Mandel: "I was a crying wreck". "I was really pleased with the reaction".

She only recently began working for the Intelligence Committee and a reporter who attempted to reach her by phone was referred to a Democratic spokesman for the panel.

"But as I say, it is in the nature of the beast that when one party control the House, they're going to try to make life hard and make people sweat within the administration", Wallace concluded. They've coined the term "Deep State" to describe what they suspect to be a large faction of government employees opposed to the president's agenda.

This is after both the House and the Senate committees have already completed their investigations without finding any evidence at all that Trump or his campaign had conspired with the Russians to rig the 2016 election.

Schiff said Wednesday his committee's investigation would include a continued probe into Russia's alleged role during the 2016 USA presidential election and contacts between Moscow and the Trump campaign.
