The WBC suspended its planned purse bid because promoters for Wilder and Fury were closing in on a deal for a rematch.

"As far as I'm concerned, the fight is more make-able now than ever, because we have the biggest boys in the game behind us", he told BT Sport on Monday.

British heavyweight Tyson Fury has signed a fight deal with a United States television network worth a reported £80m.

As it stands, the rematch of Fury's epic Los Angeles draw with WBC champion Wilder which was heading for NY on May 18 is back on hold and there is no certainty as to who his next opponent might be.

British broadcaster BT Sport will continue to hold the rights for Fury's fights in the UK.

"Top Rank is very excited to enter into the promotional arrangement along with Queensberry Promotions for the lineal heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury", Arum said. He shouted three simple words as Fury came back around 'change the height!' but then got in a serious argument with a member of staff who was asking him to sit down. "He is a generational heavyweight talent at the peak of his powers".

Fury's trainer Ben Davison at ringside was in the company of Ricky Hatton and Freddie Roach when the former champion survived the huge knockdown. But his much-publicized downward spiral into depression, drug abuse and obesity saw him vacate his trio of world titles.

Further complications in the heavyweight scene, which could reduce the likelihood of a unified champion, come from the fact that International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Association and World Boxing Organisation champion Anthony Joshua's next fight, against Jarrell Miller on June 1, will be shown in the U.S. on DAZN.

The statement said an announcement on Fury's next fight would be made in due course, with the Brit still eager to finalise a second fight with Wilder. Wilder boxes on the Showtime cable network in America, Joshua is now hitched to the DAZN streaming channel there through his promoter Eddie Hearn.

That's going to make it hard to put fights between them together because of the financial investment each side has in their deals.
