Michigan State's Nick Ward Out Indefinitely With Hairline Fracture in Hand

After three straight losses to Purdue, Indiana and IL, the Spartans have won their last pair against Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Michigan State big man Nick Ward is out indefinitely, the school announced Sunday. The Buckeyes had a three-game win streak going versus Rutgers, Penn State and IN, but lost their last outing to IL.

Weighing in on the controversy, six-times major victor Nick Faldo said Kuchar should have been more generous from the outset. Kuchar responded to Ortiz a few days later, but his attempt at damage control only made the situation worse.

In their loss to the Illini, Ohio State's CJ Jackson led the team on 17 points with five rebounds and two assists. Those three players combined for 32 points in the first head-to-head encounter, keeping the Buckeyes in the game until Michigan State closed with a 15-5 run to earn the victory. The 6-6 forward has been one of the most valuable members of Izzo's rotation at the 3, but he may need to play more 4 in smaller lineups. Goins played just seven minutes against Minnesota after suffering an elbow injury that made him questionable to face Wisconsin, but he saw 35 minutes of action against the Badgers and finished with 12 points, including a game-clinching three-pointer with 31 seconds left. OSU was held to a laughable 49 points by MI last month.

The Buckeyes are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 versus the Big Ten and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 overall.
