Vasiljevic helps Miami beat cold Notre Dame, 62-47

Six of Miami's remaining nine games are against teams in the lower half of the league standings - Notre Dame, Clemson, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Pitt.

"We had enough of losing", Vasiljevic said.

So far, the 2018-19 season for Notre Dame has been one long episode of the John Mooney show. They shot a season-worst 4-for-28 (14 percent) from 3-point range. Izundu was limited to 11 minutes in the second half because of cramps.

The Hurricanes used a mix of zone and man-to-man.

The Irish made five of their first six shots to grab a nine-point lead, but then cooled off.

Anthony Lawrence had 11 points, 12 rebounds and two steals for Miami, while Ebuka Izundu made all seven shots for 14 points and added seven rebounds.

A layup by Chris Lykes gave the Hurricanes their biggest advantage, 51-33. They went 8½ minutes without a basket midway through the game as Miami outscored them 16-2 to take a 34-23 lead.

University of Miami coach Jim Larranaga and his basketball team are hoping February is more forgiving than January.

Miami's Lykes had 11 points to win his matchup with Hubb, his high school teammate in Washington.

'The View' host Joy Behar under fire for use of blackface
Critics are calling for co-host Joy Behar to be fired because of a 2016 clip from the show circulating on social media. After Behar explained it was a costume , Raven-Symoné wanted to know if she had applied "tanning lotion" to her skin.

The De La Salle High School star is the No. 28 player in California, and No. 13 among weak-side defensive ends in the class.

The 5-foot-7 Lykes was also at the point for Miami defensively.

"He's so quick, he disrupted our whole flow", Brey said.

The Hurricanes had 39-33 edge in rebounds.

"We're small", Lawrence said. Following Saturday's game at North Carolina, the Hurricanes do not play a ranked team the remainder of February.

Miami countered with a 12-of-29 (41.4 percent) effort on field goals despite making just 1-of-9 on three-point attempts (11.1 percent). The Hurricanes are favored by three in the latest Notre Dame vs. Miami odds, while the over-under for total points scored is 141.5.

Virginia also dominated the boards in the first half and Miami's poor three-point and free-throw shooting cost them in the loss to the Cavaliers.

Izundugot a dunk shortly after, but Harvey got an easy bucket in the lane to put Notre Dame up 13-4 with under 15 minutes to play in the half.

Durham would provide some life for the Irish in the post with eight-straight points for the team, but Miami was able to answer with six points of their own with four going to Lawrence to keep Notre Dame from really cutting into the lead.
