'Black Panther' is now an Oscar-winning movie

Two Black Panther crew members made Oscar history by becoming the first black winners in their categories. Carter won the award tonight for Best Costume Design and it's far from the last of the Marvel Studios' nominations this evening.

Both Carter and Beachler were the first black women to ever win an Oscar in their respective categories. She was immediately followed up by Hannah Beachler's win for Best Production Design, the second Oscar win for any Marvel Studios film.

Meanwhile, Beachler - who has previously worked on Moonlight, Creed and Beyonce's Lemonade - paid tribute to Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

"Black Panther" had a solid night at the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday night. If they continue to win, Sunday could become an even bigger night for Marvel Studios.
